今年のいわゆる納会がCHESS(本社)で行なわれました。This year’s so-called year-end party was held at CHESS (head office).
今年の振り返りと来年の抱負を発表しあうという、とても真面目な会でした。It was a very serious plan that we looked back on this year and shared our aspirations for next year.
幻のクレド！？ The phantom Credo!?
「バックミラーは外した。過去を振り返るためのものはいらないからね。」とはヴァンヘイレンのデイヴィッド・リー・ロスの言葉とされ、大川印刷のブルーズクレドの候補に挙がるものの、ボツになった幻のクレド。結構好きな言葉だけど、経営は振り返りも必要！？”I’ve taken off the rearview mirror because I don’t need anything to look back at,” is said to be a quote from David Lee Roth of Van Halen, and was considered for Ohkawa Printing’s blues credo but was ultimately scrapped. I quite like the quote, but is looking back also necessary in management！？
振り返ることも大事だが、未来を見ることも大事。

従業員さんの企画Employee’s plan
大川印刷には私が入社した30数年前以前より「親睦会」と言う従業員さんの会があり、納会の企画をしてくれます。企画や内容は口出ししていないので、毎回楽しみです。
一人ひとり発表
普段からみんな見学会の時など説明しているせいか、一人ひとり前に出て躊躇なく自然に発表しあってました。Perhaps because everyone is used to giving explanations during tours and other events, each person stepped forward and made presentations naturally and without hesitation.

自分だったら外国で、しかも外国人の前で外国語でこんな発表できないだろう！、と思って聴いていました。As I listened, I thought to myself, “There’s no way I could make a presentation like this in a foreign country, in front of foreigners, in a foreign language!”
フードロスセット?Food waste set?
今回のおつまみは賞味期限直前のものを持ち寄ったそうです。Apparently the snacks brought this time were ones that were close to their expiration date.
お互い感謝し合い、来年も努力することを誓い合い、終えました。We thanked each other and vowed to work hard again next year.
