書籍「パワーかフォースか、」を読んでいます。著者のデヴィッド・R・ホーキンスデヴィッド・R・ホーキンス博士は、あらゆるもの（人・思想・芸術・映画）を**意識レベル（200以上＝パワー、200未満＝フォース）**で測れるとします。I’m reading the book “Power or Force,” by author Dr. David R. Hawkins. Dr. David R. Hawkins believes that everything (people, ideas, art, movies) can be measured by its level of consciousness (above 200 = Power, below 200 = Force).

「グラン・ブルー」はどこに位置づけられるか？Where does “The Big Blue” fit in?
「グラン・ブルー」は 恐怖・欲望・支配（フォース）ではなく、 真実・受容・愛・自己超越（パワー）を示す高い意識レベルの作品 とされております。”The Big Blue” is said to be a work of higher consciousness that shows truth, acceptance, love and self-transcendence (power) rather than fear, desire and control (force).
興味が湧き、ストリーミングで観ようとするも、ないのでメルカリでDVD BOXを安価で購入、観てみました。これほど有名な映画なのに今まで観てこなかったのは、映画の公開当時の1988年を振り返ると私は21歳〜22歳、会社や家庭の混乱(父であり四代目社長の急逝、母の専業主婦からの社長就任)があったり、あまのじゃくな性格のせいで、親友が「とても良い」と言ってたにも関わらずヨーロッパ映画は苦手と決めつけ、観ないでいたりしたのがこれまで観てこなかった理由でした。I was intrigued and tried to watch it on streaming services, but it wasn’t available, so I bought the DVD box set on Mercari for cheap and watched it. The reason I hadn’t seen it before, despite it being such a famous movie, was because, looking back at 1988 when it was released, I was 21-22 years old, and I was going through a lot of turmoil at work and at home (my father, the fourth-generation president, suddenly passed away, and my mother, who had gone from being a full-time housewife to becoming president), and because of my contrary personality, I decided that I didn’t like European movies, even though my best friend said they were “really good,” so I avoided watching it.

本書の第12章、238ページに「映画を含めたスポーツの記録に関する多くの作品を測定した結果」最も高い数値が測されたのがこの「グランブルー」だそうで、「700(普遍的な真実)という並はずれたエネルギーレベルを持っていることが測定された」としています。「映画を観ている人々に、意識の高い状態に入らせる力があると言うことがわかった」とも記されています。In Chapter 12, page 238 of this book, it is stated that “after measuring many works related to sports records, including movies,” “The Grand Blue” was found to have the highest reading, and that “it was measured to have an extraordinary energy level of 700 (universal truth).” It also states that “it was found that the film has the power to induce a higher state of consciousness in those who watch it.”
オリジナル版とアメリカ版の違い〜映画がお国柄に期待され編集される事実Differences between the original and American versions: The fact that movies are edited to suit the country’s expectations
私が意識の高い状態になったかはわかりませんが、調べて知ったことがあります。アメリカ版は、ハッピーエンドにラストが編集されており、「レオン」などを手がけたリュック・ベッソン（Luc Besson）監督はアメリカ版を作品としては認めていないそうです。もっとも入手したDVDは、オリジナル版、完全版、メイキングの3枚セットでアメリカ版は観ていないのですが。I don’t know if I’m in a heightened state of consciousness, but I did some research and found out that the American version was edited to have a happy ending, and that director Luc Besson, who also worked on “Léon,” apparently doesn’t recognize the American version as a work of art. The DVD I got was a three-disc set that included the original version, the complete version, and the making-of, and I haven’t seen the American version.
日本との関係が千葉にRelationship with Japan in Chiba
もういつだったかも覚えてませんが、千葉の鋸南町をドライブしていて見つけたのがジャック・マイヨール直伝のパスタを食べさせると言う「ジェノバ」と言うお店でした。山の上の行きにくいお店でしたが、今も覚えています。うれしいことに今もこのお店は営業されているようです。I can’t remember exactly when it was, but while I was driving around Kyonan Town in Chiba, I came across a restaurant called “Genova” that served pasta directly taught by Jacques Mayol. It was a difficult restaurant to get to, located on top of a mountain, but I still remember it. I’m happy to say that the restaurant is still in business.
「グランンブルー」ではパスタを食べるシーンが何回かありますが、それは魚介のパスタ、特に友人の母親の作る魚貝のパスタの話です。期待しましたが「ジェノバ」がウリにしているチーズパスタではありませんでした。In the movie “Grand Blue,” there are several scenes where people eat pasta, but the scenes are about seafood pasta, specifically the seafood pasta made by the friend’s mother. I was hoping for the cheese pasta that “Genova” is known for, but it wasn’t.
謙虚であること、命の意味を考える機会にAn opportunity to be humble and think about the meaning of life
作品を観て感じたのが、謙虚であることと人生や命の意味をもう一度考える大切さでした。What I felt after watching the film was the importance of being humble and reconsidering the meaning of life.
一期一会、自分にとっても周囲にとっても良い影響を与えていこうと思いました。I thought that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and wanted to make it a positive influence on myself and those around me.
